The 1965 Cadillac Calais is named after the French port city of Calais that overlooks the narrowest point in the English channel. The Calais was the new entry level Cadillac for 1965 replacing the 62 Series. The new Calais was designed to do away with the fins and the large amount of chrome that Cadillac had utilized since the 1950's. The Calais has a square shape, cleaner form, and for the first time the head lights were stacked vertically. The standard 429 CI engine produces 340 horsepower. Thank you for your interest!
